Gareth Walker

Gareth Walker has a strong background in procurement, renewable energy, contract negotiation, market risk management, and insurance. Gareth is currently working as a Senior Director of Procurement & Energy Risk Management at Pattern Energy Group. Prior to that, they owned their own consulting firm called Brimmond Consulting, specializing in renewable energy and procurement. Gareth also has experience as the Managing Director of Purchasing & Insurance at Iberdrola Renewables and as a Group Director of Insurance at ScottishPower. In addition, they have held positions as a Market Risk Manager at PacifiCorp, a Senior Market Risk Analyst at ScottishPower, and a Management Information Analyst at General Accident. Their work experience spans over two decades, showcasing their expertise in the industry.

Gareth Walker attended Hazlehead Academy from 1983 to 1987. Gareth then went on to Largs Academy for two years, from 1987 to 1989. Following that, they attended the University of Glasgow from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a BSc Hons degree in Mathematics & Physics.
