Sr. Director Of User Experience at Pattern

Tim Avery has extensive work experience in user experience (UX) design and management.

Tim is currently the Sr. Director of User Experience at Pattern®, where they lead the UX vision and strategy across their software products and businesses worldwide. Tim collaborates with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to create end-to-end user experiences and determine key performance indicators (KPIs) for effective communication and ROI.

Prior to Pattern®, Tim worked as the Director of User Experience at a top 10 fastest-growing private company listed on Inc. 500 and a top seller on Amazon.com. During their time there, they represented the voice of users and contributed to their success.

Earlier in their career, Tim worked as a Senior UX Designer at Entrata, where they played a crucial role in designing and developing their multi-family housing solutions software from scratch. Tim handled the entire UX process, including research, testing, wireframing, design, coding, and maintenance of various products and components. Tim also designed and maintained patterns, styles, and framework pieces.

Before that, Tim worked at Overstock.com as a Design Manager, Front End Developer, and Graphic Designer. Tim introduced code standards, templates, and reusable components while preparing the new Overstock Homepage for launch. Tim was also responsible for designing marketing emails and creating the highest-grossing email in Overstock history.

Earlier in their career, Tim served as the Design Lead at XploreU, where they redesigned their entire website and company branding. Tim also worked as a Web Designer at Infogenix, Inc. and as an Associate Design Consultant at Tier Technologies, where they built an online help system and contributed to application design.

Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated a strong passion and expertise in UX design, with a focus on driving business outcomes and delivering exceptional user experiences.

Tim Avery attended Beloit College from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art.
