Hamish Jones has extensive work experience in the field of water management and stormwater. Hamish currently holds the position of Strategic Director - Clients and Markets at Pattle Delamore Partners, where they have been working since 2023. Prior to this role, they served as Technical Director - Stormwater and Stormwater Services Leader at the same company.

In addition to their work at Pattle Delamore Partners, Hamish has also been involved in various organizations and committees related to water management. Hamish served as the President of the New Zealand Industrial Waters Forum from 2018 to 2020, where they worked towards developing sustainable processes and national standards for the industry. Furthermore, Hamish has been actively involved in the education sector, serving as the Chair of the Board of Trustees at Laingholm Primary School.

Hamish Jones attended Macquarie University from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Science degree. During their time at Macquarie University, Jones specialized in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology. In September 2016, they also obtained a certification from the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand, known as the Environmental Institute of Australia New Zealand.
