Michelle Steele

Michelle Steele has extensive work experience in various government departments in Australia. Michelle started their career in 2006 as an Adviser at the Australian Government Department of Finance, where they worked until 2016. From 2016 to 2019, they held positions at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, including Executive Officer, Senior Advisor, and Assistant Secretary. In 2019, they joined the Australian Department of Health as a Director and later became an Assistant Secretary until 2023. Currently, Michelle is serving as the Chief First Nations Officer at the Paul Ramsay Foundation.

Michelle Steele completed their Bachelor's degree at Macquarie University from 2005 to 2008. In 2017 and 2018, they pursued a program in Social Change at the University of Melbourne as part of the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity. From 2020 to 2021, Michelle pursued an Executive MBA in International Leadership at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). In 2021, they also attended the MIT Sloan School of Management, although the specific degree and field of study are not mentioned.
