Amal Amin

Amal Amin serves as the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at Paulson Capital Holding Company, LLC, and Paulson Investment Company, LLC since June 2021. Previously, Amal held the position of Chief of Staff and Counsel to the Chairman at the US Railroad Retirement Board from February 2019 to June 2021, overseeing the Chairman's staff and providing guidance on legislative, financial, and operational matters. Prior experience includes serving as Of Counsel at Mallon & Johnson, where advisory services focused on Broker-Dealer and Investment Adviser issues, along with corporate governance and mergers. Amal's legal career also encompasses roles as General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel at Advanced Equities Financial Corp. and Advanced Equities, Inc., and as a Senior Enforcement and Surveillance Analyst at the Chicago Stock Exchange. Amal holds a JD with a Certificate in Taxation from DePaul University College of Law and a BA in German and Economics from The George Washington University.
