Veronika Smirnova has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research and biotechnology. Veronika started their career as a Junior Researcher at Pavlov's Institute of Physiology, Russian Academy of Sciences, where they gained experience in working with live material and conducting biology experiments. Veronika was also responsible for preparing reports and presentations for conferences.
Veronika then moved on to work as a Research Internship at Saint-Petersburg blood donor centre, where they worked as a biotechnologist in the molecular genetic laboratory.
Following that, Veronika worked as a Biotechnologist at Stem cell bank Pokrovsky ltd., where they gained experience in molecular genetic laboratory work.
Their next role was at Almazov National Medical Research Centre, where they worked as a Biologist in the tissue typing laboratory. Here, they were involved in various tasks such as molecular-genetic typing of HLA complex genes, automatic extraction of DNA, and measurement of DNA concentration.
Currently, Veronika is working at Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University as a Laboratory Research Assistant in the laboratory of autoimmune diseases diagnostic.
Veronika Smirnova began their education in 1995 at language school 688, where they received a secondary education. Veronika then attended language school 663 from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a certificate of secondary general education. Following this, from 2004 to 2008, Veronika pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biophysics at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, specializing in the Department of Physics and Mechanics Faculty. Veronika continued their education at the same university from 2008 to 2010, earning a Master's Degree in Biophysics, specifically in the Department of Physics and Mechanics Faculty.
