Bryan Holloway

VP Backbone Architecture at Pavlov Media

Bryan Holloway has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Bryan started their career at WPGU 107.1 as a Studio Engineer and On-Air personality. From there, they moved to the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, where they worked as a Graduate Researcher, focusing on integrating audio into a 3-D environment called the CAVE. In 1995, Bryan co-founded Shouting Ground Technologies, Inc., an Internet Service Provider, where they served as the President for 20 years, expanding the company's services into the Chicago metro area. In 2004, they joined IDC Global Networks, initially as an Assistant Chief Engineer and later as the Chief Engineer, responsible for the maintenance and operations of a large data-center in downtown Chicago. Currently, Bryan is serving as the VP of Backbone Architecture at Pavlov Media, overseeing the design, build-out, and day-to-day operations of their North America backbone. Their notable achievements include converting the nationwide IGP to IS-IS, migrating the management network to a self-healing VRF-based one, and replacing old core routers with IOS-XR based ASR9Ks.

Bryan Holloway attended University High School in Urbana, IL from 1982 to 1987. After completing high school, they pursued their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1987 to 1996.
