Layo Olaiya

Layo Olaiya has been working in the legal sector since 2018. Layo began their career as an Associate in the Technology, Innovation and Fintech and Mergers, Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice Groups at Olaniwun Ajayi. During this time, they advised the International Finance Corporation on its USD$110M lead investment in TradeDepot and General Atlantic on its USD$40m Series C investment in Reliance Health Inc. In 2022, they began working as Group Legal Counsel at pawaPay.

Layo Olaiya obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Nottingham between 2014 and 2017. Layo then attended Nigerian Law School and obtained a Barrister-at-Law (B.L) in 2018. In 2016, they obtained both the Westlaw UK Basic Certification and the Westlaw UK Advanced Certification from Thomson Reuters.
