Jessica Tanner has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. In 2006, they began their career as an Arts Counsellor at Camp Chipinaw. Two years later, they became a Journalist at the Newcastle Herald. In 2010, they were an Administrative Assistant at Phunktional Ltd. In 2016, they started their own business as a Voice Teacher for Jessica Tanner Vocal Coach. In 2017, they began working with psychologist and workshop presenter Christopher Shen as a Workshop Facilitator. Jessica is currently a Community Manager for Pawshake Australia, where their responsibilities include social media marketing, pet sitter recruitment, human resource management, public relations, content creation, copywriting, trust and safety, customer support and email marketing.

Jessica Tanner has a varied educational background. In 2003, they completed a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Communications (Honours) from the University of Newcastle, with a focus in Communication and Media Studies and Journalism. In 2009, they earned a Graduate Diploma from Deakin University in Film and Television. In 2011, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Acting from The National Theatre Drama School. In 2016, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Voice Studies from the Victorian College of the Arts. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist at La Trobe University. In addition to their formal education, Jessica has obtained two certifications: Standard First Aid, CPR and AED from St John Ambulance (Vic) in April 2021 and Certified LSVT LOUD from LSVT Global, Inc. in February 2022.
