Chris Brunton has a comprehensive work experience history in various leadership roles within the technology and IT sector. Chris started their career at IBM as an Analyst/Programmer from October 1994 to May 1996. Chris then worked as an Analyst/Programmer at Lend Lease from June 1996 to June 1998. Following this, they joined PayConnect Solutions as a Technical Solutions Manager from June 1998 to July 1999, and later as an Application Development & Maintenance Manager from July 1999 to June 2000.
In April 2000, Chris began working at ADP Employer Services, where they held several positions over their 13-year tenure. Chris started as a Chief Information Officer from July 2000 to April 2003 and was responsible for all company R&D and IT Operations. Chris then served as the Director Information Technology and Chief Information Officer from April 2003 to June 2013. In this role, they managed a team of approximately 40 R&D staff and 30 infrastructure staff located in Melbourne and Pune, India. Additionally, they oversaw the IT budget of $15 million per year and ensured legislative compliance across all products. Furthermore, they took on the additional responsibility of General Manager Operations from January 2005 to February 2006.
From September 2013 to June 2015, Chris served as the Development Lead/Manager (Contract) at Talent2. In this capacity, they were responsible for the development and maintenance of a new payroll application for the Asia Pacific market, as well as managing over 30 resources covering business analysis, design and development.
Chris then worked as a Technology Head/Senior IT Manager (Contract) at VIA Network from November 2015 to April 2016. Following this, they became a Senior IT Management Consultant as an Independent Contractor from December 2015 to July 2016.
From August 2016 to March 2017, Chris worked as the Chief Technology Officer and Technology Advisor at Take5People, where they oversaw technology strategies and advised on technical matters.
Chris then joined PayAsia in April 2017 and held various leadership roles until October 2019, including Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating, Product and Technology Officer. PayAsia is a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for payroll and HR business process outsourcing.
Chris's most recent position, starting in July 2021, is Chief Operating Officer at PayGroup Limited, the holding company for PayAsia. In this role, they are responsible for the overall operational management and efficiency of the organization.
Chris Brunton completed a Bachelor of Information Technology degree from Swinburne University of Technology from 1991 to 1994. Later, from 1996 to 1997, they pursued a Master of Information Technology degree from the same university. Furthermore, Chris obtained an ITIL Foundation v3 certification from PEOPLECERT in June 2015.
