Cihan Tuncay

Cihan Tuncay has over 13 years of experience in finance and corporate development. Cihan began their career in 2008 as the Assistant Controller at Cascades, where they secured $2 million in financing for investment opportunities and performed due diligence on capital investments. In 2010, they joined Invesco (Trimark) Canada as a Senior Analyst, Global Portfolio Services, where they created research reports on stock recommendations and liaised with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Compliance Officers. From 2015 to 2019, they were at GMP Securities, first as a Vice President, Equity Research Analyst - Financial Services, and then as an Equity Research Associate - Special Situations. In this role, they lead Equity Research coverage of the Canadian Financial Services sector and built, maintained, and updated financial models for stocks under coverage. In 2019, they joined Stifel Financial Corp. as a Director, Equity Research Analyst - Financial Services and Vice President, Equity Research Analyst - Financial Services. Most recently, they have been the Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at Payfare Inc. since 2021.

Cihan Tuncay obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Finance from the Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph between 2004 and 2008. Cihan also holds certifications from the CFA Institute and the Canadian Securities Institute.
