Damian Bursztyn

Damian Bursztyn is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and architecture, currently serving as Director of Engineering for the Software Platform at PayFit France. With a strong focus on Authentication and Authorization, Low-Code Platforms, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design transformations, Damian has successfully led teams of over 30 engineers while advancing state-of-the-art, self-service platforms utilizing AWS serverless products. Previous roles include directing the Architecture tribe at PayFit, leading Site Reliability Engineering at Thales Digital Factory, and teaching at Ecole Polytechnique. In addition to practical experience, Damian holds a PhD in Computer Science from Paris-Sud University and Ecole Polytechnique and has contributed to academic research with publications and collaborations across Europe and the US.
