Brentin Govender

Client Services Director at Paymentology

Brentin Govender has over 17 years of work experience in various roles within the technology and customer service industries. Brentin began their career as a Contact Center Agent at Softline Pastel in 2005. In 2008, they joined Softline Pastel again as a Technical Analyst, where they played a key role in implementing a new point of sale software application. Brentin was recognized as Employee of the Year in 2008 for their achievements in this role. Brentin then took on the position of Project Manager at Sage Pastel Accounting in 2009, where they focused on leading delivery and managing budgets. In 2012, they transitioned to the role of Senior Product Specialist at Sage Pastel Accounting, where they collaborated with internal and external teams to solve client problems and showcase products. Brentin held this position until 2015, when they became the Head of Support for SMB Accounting at Sage, leading a team in providing support to customers. From 2017 to 2019, Brentin served as the Director of Customer Services for Africa and the Middle East at Sage, overseeing a team of 267 colleagues and implementing a digital strategy for the contact center. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Paymentology as the Client Services Director.

Brentin Govender's education history includes various degrees and diplomas. In 2015-2016, they attended GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and obtained an MBA - Master of Business Administration, specializing in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. In 2014, they obtained a PDBA - Postgraduate Diploma of Business Administration from the same institution, focusing on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 2013, Brentin completed the Programme for Management Development at GIBS Business School, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Additionally, in 2012, they obtained a CAPM - Certified Associate in Project Management from PM Ideas. In 2002, Brentin attended Damelin College, where they studied Information Systems. Finally, in 2001, they completed their high school education at Lenasia South Secondary, focusing on Science, Maths, Accounting, and Geography, earning a Matriculation certificate.
