Choong Yean Ooi

Choong Yean Ooi is a Principal Data Scientist in the Fraud and Projects Department at PayNet (Payments Network Malaysia) since July 2021, focusing on fraud prevention and analytics through the development of payment tracing capabilities and process automation. Previous experience includes a managerial role at Deloitte, where operational risk was addressed with data analytics and robotic process automation, and a managerial position at Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad in operational risk management. Choong Yean Ooi holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, obtained between 2012 and 2014.
