Utpal Paul

Utpal Paul is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and cloud infrastructure management. Since June 2012, Utpal has served as Director of Engineering at PayPal, overseeing end-to-end activities in distributed container platforms, cloud strategy development, and digital transformation initiatives that empower thousands of developers. Previous roles include Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager at PayPal, where Utpal led significant redesigns and efficiencies in cloud infrastructure. Prior to PayPal, Utpal held the position of Lead Architect at eBay, managing the complete product lifecycle for multiple software products and enhancing merchant onboarding frameworks. Utpal began the career as a Technical Specialist at Infosys, contributing to high-level designs and proofs of concept. Utpal holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Jadavpur University.
