Maximilian Karl

Maximilian Karl has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Auszubildender im Softwarebereich at Fiducia & GAD IT AG until 2010. Maximilian then became a Werkstudent at the same company in 2011. In 2013, Maximilian worked as a Werkstudent at the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association, where they also took on the role of Praktikant. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Wirecard, where they held positions such as Business Analyst, Deputy Cyber Security Officer, Team Lead Operations, and Head of Transaction Banking Operations. Most recently, Maximilian joined epay, a Euronet Worldwide Company in 2021 as the Director of IT Staff & Organisation. In this role, they spearheaded strategic HR initiatives and managed various global projects.

Maximilian Karl completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Management from Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, from 2011 to 2015. In 2013 to 2014, they also attended the German Jordanian University, focusing on International Management, although they did not obtain a degree from this institution.

Maximilian has also obtained several additional certifications. In December 2018, Maximilian completed a leadership training program called "Fit for Teams" at PROAKTIV Management GmbH. In March 2017, they received an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Maximilian also obtained the Information Security Officer certification according to ISO/IEC 27001 from bitkom akademie in December 2016.
