Adesh Kumar

Adesh Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Adesh started their career in 2005 as a Sr. Software Engineer at Reliance Energy Limited. Adesh then moved to Ranbaxy where they worked as a Software Development Tech Lead from 2007 to 2009. Following that, they joined Targray Technology International Inc. as a Software Development Manager, where they led a team developing Sales CRM products from 2009 to 2013.

In 2013, Adesh became a Software Development Manager at iYogi Inc., leading a team of 60+ engineers in developing a call center CRM product. Adesh worked at iYogi Inc. until 2014 when they joined Snapdeal as the Head of Buyer Backend Engineering. At Snapdeal, they orchestrated the backend operations handling API gateways, identity management, personalization services, and recommendation engines. Adesh worked at Snapdeal for 5 years, until 2019.

In 2019, Adesh joined Limeroad.com as the Head of Engineering (VP), leading a cultural transformation towards innovation, engineering excellence, and goal orientation. Adesh worked on projects such as redesigning the transport system into an event-driven architecture and launching the "Cut the Price" referral program. Adesh also served as the Head of B2C Engineering (Director) during their time at Limeroad.com, driving personalization, performance improvements, and Agile transformation.

In 2020, Adesh moved to Paytm, where they held multiple roles. Adesh first served as the GM Engineering, overseeing the entire backend team and implementing real-time reconciliation systems. Adesh also scaled the recent bill payment infrastructure using Cassandra. Later, they became the Associate Vice President Engineering, orchestrating the Bill Payment ecosystem with a 100-member team and innovating an AI-based bill fetch system. Additionally, they ensured a faultless SDLC CI/CD using Spinnaker with automated monitoring and rollout.

Currently, Adesh is working at Paytm Payments Bank as an Associate Vice President 2. Adesh is spearheading the UPI ecosystem with a 150-member team, transforming the team into an AI-driven powerhouse and engineering an error-free SDLC CI/CD pipeline using ArgoCD.

Throughout their career, Adesh has demonstrated strong leadership skills, innovation, and a focus on driving efficiency and customer experience through AI and automation.

Adesh Kumar obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications, including Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in 2014, The Bullet Proof Manager from Crestcom International, LLC in 2012, and certifications in Effective Goal Planning and Targeted Selection : Interviewer from Development Dimensions International.
