Paytronix’s SaaS platform produces a very high volume of data from different sources and formats. Our well-established Data Science team develops the platform to store and process this data, and analyze them to produce commercial ideas for our customers. Our team is made of dedicated engineers who are smart, curious and empathetic. We have a well-balanced way of producing business value for our customers, as we bring innovation to the platform.

We are looking for a person to lead this team.

We are looking for someone who will bring both the experience of having created success before and the curiosity to be always on the lookout for the innovation that we can best use to move the business forward - GenAI being always at the center of your attention.

We are a highly team-oriented environment where collaboration between developers and across teams is common – particularly in this role as you will need to work with the data science teams to understand the algorithms as well as the engineering team to be able to move products to production in a reliable way. Giving and receiving of feedback, debate, and ideas for betterment are actively encouraged.

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and implement strategies, plans, and processes to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of BI services
  • Ensure that data is collected, organized, and analyzed in a way that makes it secure and efficient for different organizations in the company to access and use
  • Develop and implement BI metrics. Use them for continued improvement
  • Direct/Manage the team of Data Science / BI engineers
  • Work with different teams across the organization. Synthesize information effectively to be able to integrate the work of your team with the rest of the organization
  • Work with the Product team to create requirements and design specifications
  • Stay abreast of security threats as they emerge to ensure that data is kept safe and secure

The kind of experience/skills you’ll need:

  • Experience leading teams of Data Scientists and BI analysts with various degrees of aptitude, direct them to deliver valuable projects for the business
  • Experience working for a mid-size company
  • Ability to work on a SaaS platform, where SLAs are very important and must be met
  • Ability to clearly articulate questions, problem solve and create design specifications
  • Curious by nature and keeps up to date on the constantly changing landscape of tech on the market

The extra stuff that would be nice:

  • Experience with Snowflake or other Cloud-based Data data platform
  • Experience with some of the following technologies and platforms: Looker, Java/Scala, Fivetran, HVR, dbt, Coalesce

Salary range: $165K - $182K
