Andre Olivier

Andre Olivier has an extensive work experience in treasury and finance roles. Andre started their career as a Junior Consultant at Inkwazi Consulting in 2001 and worked there until 2007.

From 2007 to 2012, Andre worked at Trafigura AG, where they first served as a Treasury Analyst and later became the Treasury Manager for North America. In this role, they managed various treasury functions, optimized cash utilization, forecasted liquidity, and managed currency exposures.

In 2012, Andre joined Puma Energy as the Treasury Manager for Africa. Andre was responsible for overseeing the implementation of a global ERP-based operational treasury management system and managed multiple projects.

In 2015, Andre moved to MultiChoice as the Senior Manager for Treasurer Africa. Andre led the corporate treasury operations and strategy for the Rest of Africa region, establishing the organization's first full-service treasury division. Andre also developed a group treasury management system and implemented an innovative hedging model.

In 2018, Andre joined PayU as the Group Treasury Manager. Andre led the treasury function across 18 international markets and additionally served as the General Manager of the Dubai entity. Andre directed international treasury operations and strategies for the global Fintech and payment and lending service provider, collaborating with CFOs and stakeholders for financial planning and performance analysis.

Currently, Andre is the Vice President of Global Treasury at PayU. Andre manages a diverse, matrixed team across five continents, executes key KPIs, leads strategic projects and treasury streams, and raises substantial debt funding for growth. Andre also serves as the General Manager and Director for the Dubai office of PayU & Prosus.

Andre Olivier attended St. Alban's College from 1998 to 2002, where they received their High School diploma. From 2003 to 2006, they pursued a degree in Business Management (Honors) at the University of Pretoria, specializing in Business & Finance.
