Rodrigo Couto

Rodrigo Couto has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Rodrigo currently holds the position of Latam PSP Head / CCO at PayU, where they have been working since April 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Country Manager for Argentina & Chile at PayU from November 2020 to April 2023. Additionally, they worked as the Global Business Development Manager at PayU from June 2020 to November 2020.

Before joining PayU, Couto worked as the VP and Head of Global Business Development at SafetyPay from March 2019 to May 2020. In this role, they managed the sales and business development team in both Europe and Latin America, handling a client portfolio of USD 350 billion and 2.5 million annual transactions.

Couto also served as the Chairman of the Board at Virginia Surety Compañía de Seguros S.A. from August 2017 to October 2018.

Prior to these positions, they held various roles at The Warranty Group, including Country Manager from December 2011 to June 2018, Deputy General Vice-President in September 2011, and Planning Manager from January 2007 to August 2011. In their role as Country Manager, they were responsible for strategic business development in Argentina, managed a team of 160 employees, and had complete oversight of revenue and P&L.

Couto also worked at Virginia Surety Compañía de Seguros S.A. as Vice President from September 2011 to July 2017.

Their earlier experience includes working at Aon Warranty Services, Inc. as a Claims Administration Supervisor. Rodrigo was responsible for starting up the department, managing claims adjustment, and designing processes and systems. Rodrigo held this position from July 1997 to December 2006.

Couto is also a member of VISTAGE Argentina since May 2012.

Rodrigo Couto completed their Licenciatura en Economía from the University of Buenos Aires between 1997 and 2010. In 2011 to 2013, they pursued Tecnicatura en Programación de Sistemas at UCES. Later in 2015 to 2016, they achieved a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
