Kate Marsden started their work experience in 2000 as a Business Development Manager at TheStreet.co.uk. Kate then worked as a Consultant in Telecoms & Interactive Media at PA Consulting from January 2001 to August 2001. Following that, they joined BT as a Strategist/Head of BT Business Online, where they also led the post-acquisition integration of Dabs.com until July 2006. From August 2006 to October 2007, they served as the Marketing Director at Defaqto Group. In 2008, they founded Very Nice Advice Ltd and held the position of Founder until January 2013. Kate then worked as a Marketing Consultant from December 2013 to December 2018. In 2019, they took a break to travel the world with their family and documented their experiences on a blog. Following their sabbatical, they became the Chief Marketing Officer (interim) at LigaData from September 2019 to February 2020. Kate later joined RiskScreen as the Chief Marketing Officer in February 2020 and continued in this role until July 2021. Currently, they are working as the Chief Marketing Officer at Citizen, starting from August 2021.
Kate Marsden's education history starts in 1989 when they enrolled at the University of St Andrews, where they pursued their MA(Hons) degree in Latin. Kate completed their undergraduate studies in 1993. In 1999, they attended the University of Oxford, specializing in General Linguistics & Comparative Philology and earned their MSt degree in 2000. Following that, from 2001 to 2003, they attended the London Business School for their MBA degree. Currently, they are pursuing their MPhil - PhD degree at the University of Buckingham, with an expected completion in 2024.
