Kevin Crowell

Kevin Crowell has been in the software engineering industry since 2005. Theirfirst position was as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia. Kevin then moved on to Digital Insight as an Associate Quality Assurance Analyst, where they inspected and tested updates to online banking websites written in XHTML and JavaScript and deployed the approved updates to the live server. In 2008, they became an Application Developer at the University of GA ITOS, where they developed web-based geographic information systems applications and designed and developed a web-based student application process for the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. In 2009, they became a Senior Informatics Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where they were a project manager and developer for a Spring/Hibernate/MySQL/JSP web application. Kevin managed a team of four developers and one tester in a scrum/agile environment and interacted with the product owner and application users on a daily basis. In 2014, they moved to Protein Metrics Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented a Web API for a more streamlined product registration and update process and deployed the web services to the AWS and Azure clouds. Kevin also wrote an administrative Ember.js website for monitoring and managing customer and employee interactions with the Web API. In 2015, they joined Health Fidelity as a Principal Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. Finally, in 2022, they moved to Extend as a Senior Staff Software Engineer.

Kevin Crowell received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Georgia in 2005. Kevin then went on to earn their Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Georgia in 2008.
