Chiranjib Gupta

Chiranjib Gupta is the current Chief Risk Officer at PayZen. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Decision Management for Marcus by Goldman Sachs from January 2018 to March 2022. In this role, they managed the Decision Science for Card and Personal Loan products, as well as the Origination and Transaction Platform for all Marcus products. From January 2014 to July 2018, Gupta served as Executive Director at Chase, where they were the Risk Appetite lead for retail businesses and CECL Implementation lead for retail businesses. From January 2012 to December 2014, they were Managing Director - Risk Management at First National Bank of Omaha, where they were responsible for loss forecasting for card and personal loan products. Prior to that, Gupta worked as Sr. Manager - Strategy and Analytics at Discover Financial Services from January 2004 to December 2012. Chiranjib began their career as an Assistant Manager at American Express from October 2001 to June 2004.

Chiranjib Gupta has a Ph.D. in Economics from Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, with a focus on econometrics, time series analysis, international trade, and environmental economics. Chiranjib also has a BA/MA in Economics from the University of Kalyani, with a focus on micro economics and macro economics.
