Jake Mey

Jake Mey has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jake'smost recent role is as a Staff Accountant at Payzer, where they started in April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Baker/Cook at Meshugganah starting in February 2022. From February 2021 to December 2021, they were a Baker at Sunflour Baking Company.

Before transitioning into the culinary field, Jake worked at Geffen Mesher, a tax and accounting firm. Jake held multiple roles at Geffen Mesher, starting as a Tax Accountant from July 2015 to July 2017. Jake then became a Senior Tax Accountant from July 2017 to July 2019, and eventually a Manager from July 2019 to November 2020.

In 2015, Jake gained experience as a Tax Intern at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP. Prior to that, they worked at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in various roles. As a Pool Operator Assistant from July 2013 to December 2014, they assisted with the maintenance and chemical management of aquatic centers. Jake also worked as a Facility Attendant from May 2012 to June 2013, where they handled facility operations and ensured safety for all members.

Jake also participated in an International Consulting Program at VCU. As part of the program in 2014, they worked with a team on developing a mobile application layout for the company Verlag Dashofer during a study abroad program in Richmond, VA and Prague, Czech Republic.

Jake Mey attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 2011 to 2015, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
