Steven G. Steach

Steven G. Steach joined PBF Energy in November 2015 as part of the Torrance Transition Team, playing an important role in PBF’s acquisition of the Torrance Refinery in Southern California, and served as the Torrance Refinery Manager until January 2022. He now serves as PBF’s Senior Vice President, Head of Refining bringing with him 44 years of oil industry experience in refining operations, economic analysis and planning, and extensive organizational development and culture change. Prior to joining PBF Energy, Mr. Steach began his refining career working in various assignments for Unocal San Francisco Refinery, followed by their Los Angeles headquarters and ConocoPhilips in various capacities including spending four years as refinery manager of their Billings Refinery in Montana. He previously served as operations manager for ConocoPhillips’ Los Angeles Refinery for nine years, as well as site manager of its Carson and Wilmington, California plants. During his tenure in plant management at the various facilities, Mr. Steach instilled a strong safety culture, which resulted in the refineries setting safety, environmental performance and production records, while earning multiple state, agency and industry safety awards and certifications.
