Karel Dobrovolny currently serves as the Director of the Investment Casting Division at PBS Velká Bíteš, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Karel worked as the Foundry Technology Manager at BREMBO CZECH s.r.o. from February 2020 to February 2024, and as a Project Manager at Bekaert from September 2007 to January 2020, where significant contributions included the implementation of lean manufacturing systems in collaboration with McKinsey & Company and the standardization of production processes. Earlier experience includes serving as the Head of Process Engineering at Bekaert, overseeing process management and changes, and the Head of Metallurgy at Viadrus, a.s., responsible for iron melting in cupola furnaces. Karel holds a Master of Science in Materials Engineering from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, earned between 1997 and 2002.
