Julia Chen

Chief Data Scientist at P&C Global

Julia is P&C’s Chief Data Scientist. She has over 20 years of experience and is a subject matter expert in cognitive computing, big data analytics, data mining and warehousing, and complex platform integration. Julia has particular domain expertise in IT transformation, digital reinvention, agile methodologies, and creating revealing insights from data to improve corporate performance. Her industry expertise includes retail, healthcare (payers and institutional providers), transportation, and financial services.

Julia began her career with Experian where she held the position of Manager of Data Modeling for the Financial Services sector products of the company – leveraging complex data sets provided by customers and combining them with Experian’s vast consumer data repositories to deliver unique insights and opportunities back to Experian’s clients which enabled them to better serve their customers, maximize revenues, and manage complex and highly-interwoven risk scenarios. From there, Julia joined IBM and served customers across the globe to create the unique cognitive computing solutions from IBM Watson. Following her tenure at IBM, she joined Groupe Galeries Lafayette where she served in a variety of data management, analytics, and consumer insights leadership functions at the Group’s consumer financial services subsidiary, Cofinoga, then one of the largest consumer lenders in Europe (now part of BNP Paribas).
