Benedict Cheng

Benedict Cheng has a diverse range of work experience in risk management and compliance. Benedict is currently the Group Chief Risk Officer and Group Data Protection Officer at PCCW, where they oversee enterprise risk management and compliance across all business units. Prior to this, they held leadership roles at PCCW, including Group Compliance Officer and Group Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Benedict has also worked as a self-employed Managing Director, providing fintech risk management consulting services. Additionally, they have held positions at BOA Financial Group, Anbang Overseas Holdings Co. Limited, GreySpark Partners, HSBC, Securities and Futures Commission, Agricultural Bank of China International, SHK Financial, and Deutsche Bank, where they gained experience in various risk management and operational roles.

Benedict Cheng attended Concordia University of Edmonton from 1985 to 1986, where they obtained an Alberta High School Diploma in General Science. Following that, from 1986 to 1991, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Commerce, Finance, and Investment at the University of Toronto.
