James Heisz has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and beverage industries.
James worked at PCI Pharma Services as the Director of Operations from May 2018 to the present.
Prior to this role, they worked at Teva Pharmaceuticals where they held various positions. James served as the Site Head Packaging, Teva Canada from April 2013 to February 2018. In this role, they led a four shift GMP environment, managing 75 employees and accountable for a $7.5M in earnings and $6M in expenses annually. James also worked as the Senior Manager, Packaging Technologies and Strategies from September 2012 to March 2013, where they led the Global E-Pedigree Implementation project and the development of the Packaging Site Master Plan. James was responsible for managing the work flow through change management processes and acted as part of the Top Tier Service Teams. Additionally, they held the position of Senior Manager, Solid Dose Packaging from May 2010 to August 2012. In this role, they oversaw a staff of 180 personnel and managed the packaging operations and maintenance for the Solid Dose Packaging Facility, as well as budget accountability of $18M in earnings and $15M in expenses annually.
Prior to their tenure at Teva Pharmaceuticals, James worked at Novopharm. James served as the Manager, Packaging at the Penicillin Facility in Markham from March 2006 to April 2010 and the Toronto Solid Dose Facility from 2009 to 2010. James also held the role of Supervisor, Packaging from July 2004 to March 2006, where they managed a packaging floor operation with 30 direct reports and maintained high standards for quality and safety.
James'searly career was with Molson Coors, where they worked as the Kegging Operations Supervisor from May 1995 to November 2003. In this role, they managed a three-shift production environment and was responsible for scheduling, controlling a labour budget, and meeting production targets.
James Heisz began their education in 1991 at Mohawk College, where they studied Architectural Technology until 1994. In 1997, they enrolled at York University and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations in 2003.
After completing their undergraduate studies, James pursued further certifications to enhance their skillset. In 2005, they obtained certifications in Detailed Scheduling and Planning, Basics Of Supply Chain Management, and Master Planning of Resources from APICS. Following this, in 2009, they earned certifications in Building Winning Teams Through Collaborative Planning from the Schulich Executive Education Centre and Green Belt from McGill University/ Abacus.
In 2015, James continued their education by pursuing a Certificate in Lean Six Sigma from the University of Toronto, which they completed in 2016.
