Kate Sears

Kate Sears has a diverse work history spanning over two decades. Kate most recently worked at PCI Pharma Services as a Senior Clinical Project Manager and Project Manager. Prior to this, they held a role at Pyxant Labs as a Senior Program Manager, where they managed analytical chemistry teams and was responsible for the analysis of biologic samples in pharmaceutical drug development. Kate also served as the Principal Analytical Investigator for numerous non-clinical and clinical pharmaceutical studies.

Before their time at Pyxant Labs, Kate worked at Folium Biosciences as the Vice President of Quality and later as the Director of Quality. Kate also held multiple positions at Pyxant Labs Inc., including Associate Director of Bioanalytical Sciences/Senior Program Manager and Analytical Group Leader. In these roles, they managed projects, schedules, and resources to meet sponsor timelines and successfully completed bioanalytical phases for FDA submissions.

Earlier in their career, Kate worked as a Chemistry Consultant for Sensor Technologies, Inc., where they developed protocols and a usable database for glucose sensor technology research. Kate also performed data analysis using fluorescence spectroscopy and statistical analysis software. Prior to that, they were a Chemist II at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where they contributed to the development of autoimmune disease assays and collected data using various techniques.

Kate's work experience also includes a role as a Research Coordinator at Sensor Technologies, Inc., where they played a significant role in the development of biocompatible glucose sensor implant technology and interacted with investors and potential partners. Kate prepared grant proposals, wrote technical reports, and produced experimental results for presentations.

Kate Sears attended Colorado State University from 1992 to 1996, where they pursued a field of study in Microbiology, General. After completing their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the University of Connecticut from 1996 to 2000. At UConn, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
