James B. Popel

James B. Popel, MBA, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, is an experienced human resources professional with a strong background in human resource management and professional development. Currently serving at PCL Construction since 2017, James has previously held significant roles including Director of Human Resource & Training Services at St.Amant from 2014 to 2017, and Director of Human Resources at Sigfusson Northern LTD from 2012 to 2013. Prior to these positions, James was the Vice President of People at Tetra Tech Architects & Engineers/Wardrop Engineering for over a decade. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Human Resources, a Certificate in Change Management, a Master's in Educational Administration, and a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Educational Psychology, all from the University of Manitoba, along with foundational education from J. H. Bruns Collegiate.
