Tom Hawley has extensive experience in photography and education spanning over four decades. Since January 2011, Tom has served as a Substitute Teacher for multiple school districts in Monroe County while also working as a professional freelance photographer since July 2009. Prior to these roles, Tom was a Photographer for Observer & Eccentric Newspapers for over 14 years, advancing to Interim Photography Editor, and also held a Media Tech/Photographer position at Monroe County Community College. Tom began a career in photography as Chief Photographer at The Monroe Evening News. Tom earned a Bachelor's of Applied Arts in Journalism with a focus on Photojournalism from Central Michigan University.
