About the Role

As a Business Intelligence Analyst specializing in Power BI, you will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide both base-level reporting and actionable insights for our organization. You will both directly and indirectly support various departments and functions.   

1. Data Collection and Analysis: 

  • Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform data cleansing and transformation to prepare data for analysis.
  • Over time, analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.

  

2.  Power BI Dashboard Development: 

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to the needs of each department and various programs, business lines, and functions.
  • Create interactive visualizations and drill-down capabilities for deeper insights.
  • Optimize dashboard performance for efficient data retrieval and visualization.

  

3.  Requirement Gathering and Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with our Solutions BAs to understand data requirements and objectives.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Power BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members to ensure data availability and accessibility.

4. Data Interpretation and Insights: 

  • Interpret data trends and patterns to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency based on data analysis.
  • Communicate findings to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and presentations.
  1. Training and Support: 
  • Provide training and support to users on Power BI functionality and best practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Power BI within the organization, offering guidance and assistance as needed.

6.  Stay Updated on Power BI Features and Best Practices: 

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in Power BI and related technologies.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge through self-learning and professional development activities.

We Are Seeking People Who:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, with a strong preference towards Power BI expertise.

  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization design.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Experience working with SQL databases and writing SQL queries.

  • Competency with Python, and Spark

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Relevant certifications in Power BI or related technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
