Aykut Avci

Aykut Avci, PhD, has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Aykut started their career as a researcher at Ghent University from 2008 to 2012. Aykut then worked at Barco as a software engineer, where they played a key role in the development of the ClickShare product. Aykut later became a senior software development engineer, leading the software team for the high-end ClickShare product, CSE-800.

In 2017, Aykut joined iText Software, initially as a software development manager, responsible for embedding PDF solutions into document workflows for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. Aykut then took on roles as a business development manager, establishing partnerships and driving global sales for iText's product, iText DITO. In 2020, they identified the need for a Compliance Department and became the License Compliance Manager, successfully resolving license compliance matters.

Currently, Aykut is working at Apryse as the Global Director License Compliance, managing the license compliance program and growing the compliance team globally. Aykut ensures product portfolio compliance for Apryse's 12 companies, including iText.

Aykut Avci, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science Engineering from Ghent University in the years 2008-2012. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University during 2003-2006. Aykut began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University from 1998-2002.
