Russell Farhang

Russell Farhang has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Russell started their career as the Director of Automated Solutions at Juno Online Services within The D. E. Shaw Group. Russell then worked as a UNIX Systems Administrator at Citi and InterWorld Inc. In 1998, they took on the role of Jazz Violinist with the Howard Fishman Quartet. Following this, they joined D. E. Shaw & Co. as a Vice President, overseeing global helpdesk and financial data management. Russell later worked at Bridgewater Associates, first as the Head of Operations, Information Technology and then as the Chief Operating Officer, Information Technology. In 2014, they briefly served as the Director of Operations at GENIUS before transitioning to their current role at PDT Partners as a Partner and Chief Talent Officer. Additionally, they have provided motorsports driving coaching and instruction for various organizations including Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Audi, and the National Auto Sports Association.

Russell Farhang attended Princeton University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained their A.B. degree in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. In addition to their formal education, Russell has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they received the MSF Level 2 Instructor Certification from the Motorsport Safety Foundation. The previous year, in 2017, they obtained the MSF Level 1 Instructor Certification from the same institution. In 2014, they received the Certified BMWCCA High Performance Driving Instructor certification from the BMW Car Club of America.
