Bill Champion

Bill Champion served as Principal of Gladiator Mining Group LLC from 2014 to 2017, where he pursued global investment opportunities across a wide range of mineral and metal commodities. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Rio Tinto PLC, in a number of executive management roles for the company, including as Managing Director of Rio Tinto’s former Australian coal assets, as well as diamond and copper segments.

Mr. Champion is also currently an independent director of Buenaventura Mining Co. Inc., Peru’s largest, publicly traded precious metals company, and of PJSC Polyus Gold, a Russian gold mining company.
