Jen Schlotthauer

Jen Schlotthauer, PE, currently serves as a Senior Environmental Engineer at Peabody Energy, where responsibilities include assisting all US locations with environmental compliance and bond release tracking. Jen has extensive experience in environmental engineering at various Peabody Energy sites, including the Bear Run Mine, where tasks ranged from designing sedimentation ponds to conducting comprehensive environmental audits and permit submissions. Prior roles involved overseeing archaeological surveys, air quality testing, and reclamation bond releases across multiple coal mines. Jen started the career as an Environmental Operations Associate and completed an internship focused on wetland permitting and design. Jen earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
