Nicholas Chirekos

Nicholas Chirekos is the current director at Peabody Energy. Prior to joining Peabody, Chirekos spent 29 years with J.P. Morgan, where they served as managing director and global head of mining and metals. In this role, Chirekos was responsible for large-cap mining relationships and led the firm's marketing and execution efforts for the mining sector. Nicholas also advised on two of the three largest deals ever completed in the mining industry: Freeport-McMoRan's $26 billion purchase of Phelps Dodge and Alcan's $44 billion sale to Rio Tinto.

Nicholas Chirekos has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from New York University in Finance and International Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver in Finance and General Business. Nicholas also attended the University of Colorado Boulder.
