Peace Corps
Eva Gilbert is a dedicated professional with experience in youth development and community engagement. Currently serving as a Youth Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps since July 2023, Eva completed a rigorous 12-week training program focusing on Spanish language skills, Costa Rican culture, and positive youth development practices, as well as conducting a comprehensive community analysis in Spanish. Previously, as a Youth Program Intern at the International Rescue Committee, Eva supported the enrollment and advocacy of refugee youth in Elizabeth, NJ. Additional roles include Team Supervisor and Barista at Brrzaar Café, Research Intern at the University of Michigan's School of Information investigating educational and psychological issues post-COVID, and summer camp counselor positions. Eva holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Education, Inquiry, and Justice from Georgetown University.
