Kara Bethke

Kara Bethke is an experienced professional in the aerospace and engineering sectors, currently serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer since September 2023. Prior to this role, Kara worked at Sierra Space as a Software Engineer and Systems Engineer I from June 2021 to September 2023, and previously held the position of Flight Software Engineering Aide at Sierra from June 2020 to March 2022. Kara's early career included significant involvement at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where contributions as an Orientation Leader and Resident Advisor supported new students in their transition to college life. Additionally, Kara was a Summer Robotics Crew Trainer at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, teaching children about robotics and STEM subjects. Kara holds a degree in Spaceflight Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, completed in 2021.
