Peace Over Violence
Art Blair has extensive experience in public safety and emergency medical training. As a public speaker for Peace Over Violence since June 1982, Art has contributed to the Survivor Speakers Bureau, sharing personal experiences to educate others about sexual assault and domestic violence. Prior to this role, Art served as a Lieutenant with USC Police and as an Emergency Room Technician at San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. Art is also the owner and instructor of BlairCPR and Blair CPR & MAB Training, providing various American Heart Association-approved courses for healthcare and industry personnel. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of Southern California, East Los Angeles Occupational LVN School, and participation in the LAPD/West Point Leadership Academy.

Peace Over Violence
Established in 1971 by pioneering feminist activists, Peace Over Violence is a sexual and domestic violence, intimate partner stalking, child abuse and youth violence prevention center headquartered in Los Angeles. POV is committed to social service, social change and social justice. POV’s innovative and comprehensive programs include Emergency, Intervention, Prevention, Education and Advocacy services and are offered in Los Angeles and the 22 cities within the West San Gabriel Valley. Our mission is building healthy relationships, families and communities free from sexual, domestic and interpersonal violence. Our services are offered in English, Spanish and American Sign Language.
