Julia Teresa Rivera Pineda has a diverse work experience. Julia Teresa started their career as an Engineering and Technology Manager at Barcode Honduras from September 2010 to August 2012. Julia Teresa then pursued their Ph.D. at Sao Paulo State University as a Researcher Ph.D. Candidate from September 2014 to September 2018. Following that, they worked as an SE Smart Grid Laboratory Operator /PDF at Ryerson University from July 2019 to September 2020. In September 2021, Julia joined Universidad Loyola as an Assistant Professor until January 2022. Julia Teresa then transitioned to DTN, where they worked as a Project Engineer from December 2021 to February 2023. Currently, Julia is employed at Peak Power Inc as a Market Operations Analyst since January 2023.

Julia Teresa Rivera Pineda completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, between the years 2006 and 2011.
