Paula Nuzzi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Paula worked as a Military Police Officer in the US Army from 1990 to 1994. From 2012 to 2017, they served as a Regional Human Resource Leader at Trane, where they focused on labor relations and implementing training programs. Paula then moved on to Ingersoll Rand, where they held the position of Commercial HR Leader for Sales, Service, Finance, and Marketing, providing strategic advisory services and overseeing HR operations. In 2019, Paula joined Peak Toolworks as the Vice President of Talent Operations & Culture, where they led the HR functions for multiple manufacturing sites and ensured compliance with employment law. Additionally, they are currently an Instructor at Ivy Tech Community College and a Member at Chief.

Paula Nuzzi has a diverse education history. Paula earned an Associates degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University from 1994 to 1996. Paula then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in HR Management/Labor Relations from Cornell University, which they completed between 2004 and 2007. Paula further expanded their knowledge and skills by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Regis University from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, during the same time frame, they also obtained another Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Regis University.

In terms of additional certifications, Paula completed a program called "Leadership at the Peak" offered by the Center for Creative Leadership in October 2021.
