Juan Isaza Aristizábal

Juan Isaza Aristizábal has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Juan is the Co-Founder and CTO of PeakU, a professional network for remote developers. Juan played a crucial role in leveling the playing field for developers regardless of their background.

Juan also worked at Rockstart as an Alumni WM19, where they helped accelerate PeakU's growth during their six-month tenure. Juan showcased the product, growth, and potential at a demo day with 300 investors.

Juan Isaza Aristizábal worked as a Senior Analytics Fellow at McKinsey & Company from December 2017 to November 2018. Juan also served as a Senior Data Scientist at VOIQ for a brief period in 2017.

Before joining PeakU, they were a Data Engineer at BairesDev, where they developed ETL pipelines and utilized various technologies for Whalerock Industries website. Prior to this, they were the Lead Data Scientist and Backend Developer at Tappsi, where they optimized core algorithms and played a significant role in governmental partnerships.

Juan Isaza Aristizábal was the CEO and Co-Founder of Mi Transmi, a transportation company, from January 2012 to April 2014. Juan also worked as a Junior Field Engineer at Schlumberger from July 2012 to April 2013. Juan co-founded Biosolar de Colombia, a solar photovoltaic electricity startup in Bogota, where they designed a solar station for San Andres.

During their time at Universidad Los Andes, they worked as a Research Assistant, publishing a research paper on clustering analysis of a Colombian toxicological database. Juan also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

Juan Isaza Aristizábal has a diverse education history. Juan completed their Bachelor's degree in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Colegio San Carlos in the year 2005. Juan then pursued a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, which they completed in the period of 2005 to 2009. Additionally, Juan obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university in the year 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Juan achieved the following: in 2016, they obtained a certification for completing the "Algorithmic Toolbox" course from Coursera Course Certificates, and in 2017, they received a certification for completing the "Data Structures" course from the same institution. Furthermore, in 2016, Juan obtained a certification for achieving elementary fluency in German from Duolingo. Lastly, in 2020, they became an alumni of Rockstart.
