April Overman is a Visiting Assistant Professor at The University of Southern Mississippi and an Adjunct Professor at Purdue Global. April also teaches at Tulane University School of Continuing Studies, Pearl River Community College, and Southern New Hampshire University in various subjects related to public safety, criminal justice, sociology, and homeland security. April has a background as a retired Captain in the New Orleans Police Department and has a Ph.D. in Urban Studies.
