Director Of Instruction at Pebble Beach Resorts

Laird Small has a long and varied work experience in the golf industry. Laird began their career in 1977 as an Assistant Golf Professional at the Fort Ord Golf Course. In 1980, they became the Director of Golf at Quail Lodge & Golf Club, where they worked until 1987. From 1987 to 1996, they served as the Head Golf Professional at Spyglass Hill Golf Course. In 1996, they joined Pebble Beach Resorts as the Director of Instruction, a position they still hold.

Laird Small's education history includes attending San Jose State University from 1978 to 1980. During this time, they pursued a major in Leisure and Recreational Activities and obtained a minor in both Spanish Language and Literature, as well as Photography. Prior to their enrollment at San Jose State University, they attended UC Irvine from 1975 to 1977, where they studied Spanish.
