David Vandersteen is an experienced Pediatric Urologic Surgeon with a career spanning over two decades. Since July 1998, Vandersteen has been with Pediatric Surgical Associates and holds the position of Pediatric Urologic Surgeon. In addition, Vandersteen has contributed as a Member of the Board of Directors for Children's Surgery International since June 2021 and serves as the Director of Pediatric Urology at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare since July 2014. Vandersteen has also been involved in education at the Mayo Clinic since January 2000, where responsibilities include serving as the Director of Extramural Resident Education and Assistant Professor of Pediatric Urology. Previous leadership positions include Secretary/Treasurer of Professional Staff and Associate Chief of Surgery at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. Vandersteen earned an MD in Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine between 1986 and 1990.
