Diego Castro Riba

Diego Castro Riba has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Diego currently serves as the Head of Logistics & Operations at PedidosYa since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Partner Operations at the same company from March 2020 to November 2021. Diego also worked at Glovo as an Operations Manager in different capacities. Diego was responsible for managing end-to-end operations in three countries and leading rider operations for last-mile deliveries in Costa Rica, Honduras, and Guatemala. At Prodigious Latin America, Diego worked as an Associate Production Manager for Starcom. Earlier in their career, they were involved in commercial business consulting and management roles at Inversiones CGR S.A, where they provided expertise in marketing, financial analysis, and strategy development. Diego also gained customer portfolio growth experience in the food service industry and managed corporate cafeterias. Prior to this, Diego worked as a Front Desk Associate at Walt Disney World, a Guest Services Associate at Poets Cove Resort & Spa, and completed a business internship at Courtyard by Marriott.

Diego Castro Riba holds a Master's degree in Business Intelligence & Data Management from Inesdi Business Techschool, which they obtained in 2024. Prior to that, they completed another Master's degree in UVIC's Master Universitario en Gestión Empresarial from Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya in 2018. In the same year, Diego also earned a Master's degree in International Business Management from EADA Business School. Earlier, in 2016, they received their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. Before that, in 2012, they completed a program on Top Management skills (SoftSkills) from Instituto de Estudios Empresariales (IEE). Diego's educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, which they obtained from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica in 2011. Additionally, Diego has obtained several certifications, including The Eight Essential People Skills for Project Management from LinkedIn in 2022, EF SET English Certificate (C2 Proficient) from EF Standard English Test (EF SET) in 2018, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Cámara de Industrias de Costa Rica in 2017, and English as a Second Language from English Bay College Ltd. in 2010. In 2009, they also completed the Future Leaders Forum from IMEX.
