Francisco Orlando Castro

Francisco Orlando Castro has a diverse work experience in various tax-related roles. Francisco Orlando is currently working as the LATAM Tax Director at PedidosYa since December 2022. Prior to this, they held positions as the DIRECTV LATAM Tax Director at DIRECTV Latin America from November 2021 to January 2023, and the AT&T Latam Tax Director at AT&T from March 2019 to November 2021. Before joining DIRECTV, they worked as a Gerente de Impuestos and Jefe de Impuestos at DIRECTV from 2010 to 2019, where they played a key role in establishing and consolidating the tax team. Francisco also has experience as an Assistant Professor at Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, UBA and as a Titular de Cátedra at Escuela Argentina de Negocios, where they imparted their tax expertise. Additionally, they have contributed as a Main Speaker at Capacitaxes - Capacitación Impositiva para no impositivos, providing tax training for personnel not directly involved in tax work. Francisco Orlando has also worked at Barberis Cambiaso - Contadores Públicos as a Tax Manager and as an Independent Consultant at Labor and Tax Consultancy at Asesoría Tributaria y Laboral. Francisco began their career as an Accounts and Tax Senior at Guillermo C. Balzarotti.

Francisco Orlando Castro has a Bachelor's degree in Public Accountancy, with a specialization in Taxes from the University of Buenos Aires, which they completed from 1997 to 2002. In 2016, they attended the Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires, where they completed an intensive course in International Tax Law. In 2014, Francisco pursued a specialized postgraduate program in Tax Law, with a focus on Financial and Tax Law, at Universidad de Belgrano. From 2012 to 2013, they completed a postgraduate program in Management at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, with a specific focus on the DIRECTV industry.

In addition to their formal education, Francisco has obtained certifications in JavaScript and Web Development from Coderhouse in 2022.
