Martin Esteves has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Starting in 2011, they worked as an Assistant of Data Structures and Algorithms 2 at ORT University of Uruguay. In 2014, they joined Scanntech as a Senior Java/Android Developer, where they focused on driver development for printers and feature development of the card payment service at the point of sale.

In 2015, Martin moved to Verifone as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the development of an electronic payment gateway and participating in the handoff of two projects to Verifone. Martin was responsible for client meetings, requirements analysis, design, documentation, and task definition.

In 2019, Martin joined Mercado Libre as a Software Engineer, specializing in the development and support of core APIs. Martin ensured that changes to the APIs did not break the clients' contracts or compromise quality attributes.

Currently, Martin is working at PedidosYa as a Principal Engineer. Their responsibilities include involvement in initiatives with tribe and company-wide impact, interviewing candidates, designing architectures, and reviewing solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, modifiability, and observability.

Martin Esteves has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and big data. Martin obtained a Master's degree in Big Data and a Specialization in Big Data from Universidad ORT Uruguay, completing these programs from 2018 to 2021 and 2018 to 2019, respectively. Prior to pursuing their master's, they completed their undergraduate studies at the same university, specializing in Computer Science, System Engineering, and Software Engineering from 2008 to 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, Martin also holds certifications such as Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle in 2015 and First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge in 2008.
